There are no accounts, no sign-in, and no servers belonging to us for the app to talk to. ### Information Stored Locally Tactus stores the following data **locally on your device only**: - **Control Surface Layout**: The arrangement of faders, knobs, pads and keys, and any changes you make to it - **App Preferences**: Settings such as which transport format to send and how the mixer addresses tracks - **MIDI Port Identity**: A randomly generated number that keeps the app's MIDI port recognisable to your computer between sessions. It is not derived from your device, your identity or anything else about you **Important:** This data is stored only on your device. It is not transmitted to our servers, and we operate no servers or databases that hold user content. ### Information We Do NOT Collect Tactus does **not** collect, store, or transmit: - Personal identification information (name, email, phone number) - Location data - Device identifiers - Usage analytics or tracking data - What you play, or any record of it - Contact information - Financial or payment information ## Bluetooth and Connected Devices Tactus is a MIDI controller. Its purpose is to send the notes and control messages you play to other music software. - **Bluetooth** is used solely to let your device act as a Bluetooth MIDI controller, so a computer or another device can connect to it and receive what you play. Your device advertises itself on Bluetooth only while you switch that on inside the app. - We do **not** use Bluetooth for location, advertising, analytics or presence detection, and we do not collect the identity of anything that connects. - **Network MIDI and USB** connections are provided by your operating system. If you use them, your device may ask for local network permission — that request comes from the operating system's MIDI support, not from data collection by us. - The MIDI messages you send go directly from your device to the equipment or software you have connected. They pass through nothing of ours and are not recorded. ## Data Storage and Security All app data is stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage mechanisms. We do not maintain any external servers or databases for user data. ## Third-Party Services Tactus does **not** integrate with: - Analytics services (Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, etc.) - Advertising networks - Social media platforms - Cloud storage providers The app operates entirely offline. It requires no internet connection, and does not have one in any meaningful sense — the only connections it makes are the local MIDI links you set up yourself. ## Children's Privacy Tactus does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. The app does not require account creation or any personal data to function. ## Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
