This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our mobile application ScaleCraft (the "App"). ScaleCraft belongs to the ChordMuse family of music education apps and is built by Webfascia Digital Solutions. ## Information We Do Not Collect ScaleCraft is designed with privacy as a fundamental principle. We do **not** collect, store, or transmit any personal information, including but not limited to: - Names, email addresses, or contact information - Location data - Advertising IDs, or device identifiers for any purpose other than the free trial on Android (see Trial and Purchases) - Usage analytics or tracking data - Payment information - Social media information - Any other personally identifiable information ## Local Data Storage The App stores all data locally on your device using standard mobile operating system storage mechanisms. This includes: ### User Progress Data - Game scores and achievements - Completed levels and star ratings - Scale practice history - Personal best records ### App Settings - Audio preferences - Visual theme settings - Game difficulty preferences ### Trial and Purchase Status - Whether Full Unlock is owned - The date the free trial started All of this remains on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third parties. The one exception is the free trial record on Android, described below. ## Trial and Purchases On iPhone, iPad and Android, ScaleCraft is free to download. It offers a free 30-day trial and **Full Unlock**, a one-time in-app purchase. Both are handled entirely by the **Apple App Store** or **Google Play**: - When you start the trial, buy Full Unlock or restore purchases, the App asks the store to complete it. Payment details, your Apple Account or Google Account, and the transaction itself are handled by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies. **We never receive your card or bank details.** - The store tells the App only which ScaleCraft items you own and when they were first bought. The App keeps that on your device, as listed above. We keep no record of your purchases. - On iPhone and iPad, the trial is recorded by Apple against your Apple Account, so it continues where it left off on a reinstall or another device. - **On Android**, Google Play has no free trial for a one-time purchase, so we record the trial ourselves. When the App starts, it sends our server your device's Android ID (an identifier Android gives this App on your device) to check whether this device has had a trial; when you start the trial, the server records that ID with the trial's start date. We store only those two values, with the App's name, so that each device gets one trial and reinstalling the App doesn't restart it. We use them for nothing else, never combine them with other data, and never share or sell them. They are not linked to your name, email or Google Account. To ask us to delete your device's trial record, email support@chordmuse.app. - Every player profile on the device shares the same purchase. ## Audio and Media Files The App includes pre-loaded audio files (SoundFont instruments) and animation assets that are stored locally on your device. These files are part of the App installation and do not require internet connectivity to function. ## Third-Party Services The only services ScaleCraft uses are the stores it is sold through, and on Android our own trial server: - **Apple** (the App Store) on iPhone and iPad - **Google** (Google Play) on Android - **Our server**, on Android only, for the free trial record described above The stores handle Full Unlock and restoring purchases, and Apple also the free trial on iPhone and iPad. ScaleCraft does **not** integrate with: - Analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.) - Advertising networks - Social media platforms - Cloud storage services - Any other payment or subscription service ## Offline Functionality ScaleCraft works offline. No internet connection is needed to play, learn or practise, including: - Scale practice and games - Audio playback - Progress tracking - Settings management The App connects only to the Apple App Store or Google Play, to show the Full Unlock price, start the trial, buy or restore purchases, and on Android to our server for the free trial record. ## Data Security Since all data is stored locally on your device: - We cannot access your personal data - Data security depends on your device's security measures - Data is automatically deleted when you uninstall the App - We recommend using device-level security features (passcodes, biometric authentication) ## Children's Privacy ScaleCraft is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. We do not collect any personal information from users of any age. Purchases are made through the Apple Account or Google Account signed in on the device, so the account holder's store settings apply, including Ask to Buy on Apple devices and purchase approvals in Google Play. Full Unlock is shared by every player profile on the device. ## Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. Full Unlock stays with your Apple Account or Google Account, and Restore purchases brings it back after a reinstall. Purchases and refunds are managed by Apple or Google. ## Consent By using ScaleCraft, you consent to this Privacy Policy.
